On a lighter note, SBM orientation for the freshies was finally held today. Woke up at 6, got to school by 7.30. Earliest that I’ve woken up in a long long time. Actually, I can’t remember having to wake up this early since seconday school. In any case, the morning was a bit screwed up. The freshies arrived by the truckloads it seemed, it was so overwhelming. Registration was so damn long cos the system was slow and there was only 2 computers. The freshies were bored out of their minds, and so were the OGLs. It was only after registration was over and done with that the fun began… Me, Neeta, Vic and Saiful were in charge of Group 3, which consists of 2 classes, BM and BF. We were playing so many games on a large scale, it was difficult to control all of them. I think I’ve become a little horse from all the shouting I’ve had to do just so that they could hear me… *Ahem* But the games were fun, I enjoyed myself, and I was fairly sure that my group enjoyed themselves too. =þ After that, we had lunch and temperature scans, such a hassle. After that, they met their PEMs, got their goodie bags and orientation shirts, timetables and admin cards. After that, there was a multimedia presentation, followed by tea break. Good life lah the freshies, the food they got for tea break were cream puffs, noodles, fishballs, cakes, CHOLOCATE CHIP MUFFINS and a lot more! No fair…. =( Anyway, the last one was the school tour. Brought them to all the usual places, atrium, library, sports hall, lecture theaters.. You know, the usual boring places… I think they’re most excited about the CCAs that they can join. So I told some of them about “Club Crawl”. Some of them looked so excited that I thought that they would burst! Haha.. So those out there who would be doing “Club Crawl”, you know what to do… =P At the end of the day, I was soooo tired that I could barely walk in a straight line… After the debrief and all, on the way home, I feel asleep on the bus and almost missed my stop. To make things worse, it started raining as soon as I got off the bus.. Arrgghhh.
Well, all in all, I would say that it was a pretty fun day, but I won’t do it again anytime soon.
